The Beach Boys have just announced that they'll be releasing two hits packages -- a 20-track Greatest Hits album and the 50-track, two-CD box set 50 Big Ones.

The Beach Boys have just announced that they'll be releasing two hits packages -- a 20-track Greatest Hits album and the 50-track, two-CD box set 50 Big Ones. They'll hit stores on October 9th in North America, though they'll be released internationally on September 24th. Both will be available digitally as well.

The Beach Boys will also re-issue 12 of their albums, re-mastered and featuring mono and stereo mixes, on September 25th. The albums are:

• Shut Down, Volume Two
• All Summer Long
• The Beach Boys Today
• Summer Days (and Summer Nights)
• Beach Boys Party
• Pet Sounds
