| Gregg Allman is hoping to make up his postponed book tour next week and to tour this summer with The Allman Brothers Band. He was scheduled to start promoting his autobiography, My Cross to Bear, this week, but instead checked into the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida on Friday for testing to determine if he needs additional care following his recent hernia operation. It's the same clinic where he had his liver transplant two years ago. If there are no complications, his book-signing tour will get under way next Tuesday.
Regarding Friday's test, Allman said, "It's just one of those make-sure tests. My heart goes into A Fib (atrial fibrillation) and does those beats... There's a little reggae in there somewhere... It's just kind of a bigger bump than I expected in the road, and as of this summer, I'll be there with bells on." Source: Billboard |
