GUESS WHO: Cummings Says Competing with Ex-Bandmates Hurts Their Reputation |

Burton Cummings feels that having to compete with a Guess Who band featuring original drummer Garry Peterson and bassist Jim Kale hurts the band's chances of being considered for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The voice of such classics as "American Woman," "These Eyes" and "No Time," has no ownership stake in the band's trademarks. Kale controls them -- and Cummings hasn't been shy -- either during shows or on Facebook postings -- about his contempt for the rival outfit. He wraps up his brief East Coast tour with shows tomorrow in Morristown, New Jersey and Saturday in Tarrytown, New York. |
