U2: Clayton's Assistant Guilty
The former assistant to U2 bassist Adam Clayton was found guilty in an Irish court today (Friday) of embezzling $3.6 million from the bassist's bank accounts over a four-year period.
The former assistant to U2 bassist Adam Clayton was found guilty in an Irish court today (Friday) of embezzling $3.6 million from the bassist's bank accounts over a four-year period. Carol Hawkins was convicted on 181 counts of theft. Clayton walked into the courtroom just as the jury returned an unanimous verdict on each individual count.
Hawkins was released on bail until sentencing on July 6th.
