Gene Simmons took part in a poker tournament over the weekend in West Hollywood, California along with Mel Gibson, Robert Downey, Jr., Sean Penn, Jodie Foster and others with the proceeds going to Mending Kids International, a California-based non-profit that provides surgeries to children otherwise unavailable to them in developing countries, and surgical training to medical staff to build long-term sustainable surgical programs.
