Priest, Parsons and Springsteen.

Former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing is now trying his hand at promoting concerts. Under the banner The Future of Heavy Metal, Downing’s first show will be at the Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton, England on May 16th followed by Birmingham on the 17th. Performing will be Hostile and Moray Firth. Hostile features Alex Hill, the son of Judas Priest bassist Ian Hill. Downing produced their debut album, Eve of Destruction.

Bruce Springsteen’s “We Take Care of Our Own" is featured on the Grammy Nominees album, which will be out on January 22nd. The song is up for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song at the Grammys, February 10th in Los Angeles.

Alan Parsons will handle the sonics when current prog-rock standard bearer Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree does his first U.S. solo tour this April and May.
