Richie Teeter, who briefly drummed in Twisted Sister in 1980, has died at 61. Teeter had previously been a member of New York punk legends The Dictators, whose bassist Mark Mendoza had joined Twisted Sister a couple of months before Teeter and is still with them.

Van Halen's new album, A Different Kind of Truth, is on sale for $6.99 until midnight tonight on iTunes.

Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart will be at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland today for the opening of the Dead's Long, Strange Trip exhibit. He and his Mickey Hart Band will perform.

The Beach Boys performed "Surfer Girl" on acoustic guitars before singing the national anthem at yesterday's Los Angeles Dodgers home opener. The mini-concert was the beginning of a season-long co-promotion -- The Beach Boys and Dodger Stadium are both celebrating their 50th anniversaries.

Dave Mason and Stevie Wonder gave an impromptu performance last week at Iggies Beach Bar and Grill on St. Thomas, sitting in with the Hot Tunes with Becca Darling band. Wonder joined in on harmonica on "House of the Rising Sun," and then Mason played on "Stormy Monday" and invited Wonder to join him.

Heart and Billy Idol have been joined the MusiCares benefit honoring Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell on May 31st at Club Nokia in L.A.
