Bruce Springsteen broke out three more tour premieres over the weekend in Buffalo, New York -- "Rendezvous," Johnny Rivers' "Mountain of Love" and "Point Blank." Next up is Cleveland tonight. Eddie Van Halen has yet to do a U.S. radio interview in support of the new Van Halen album, but seeing as how many VH fans read Esquire magazine (wink-wink), he felt compelled to sit for an interview for its May issue, on newsstands now. Van Halen is in Atlanta on Thursday. Brian May opened the Laurence Olivier Awards, the U.K.'s Tony Awards, the other night at London's Royal Opera House by joining the cast of the Queen musical We Will Rock You on a version of "Bohemian Rhapsody." Later, he presented the Audience Award to Les Miserables. Doors guitarist Robby Krieger recently bought his wife a new Mercedes SUV. The late folk legend and activist Woody Guthrie has been honored with the naming of the intersection of Fourth and Main streets in Los Angeles as Woody Guthrie Square. Guthrie, who died in 1967, would have turned 100 on July 14th. |
