Paul McCartney ranks third on the Sunday Times of London's Top 50 Music Millionaires list. With just over $1 billion in assets, he trails only British music mogul Clive Calder (at $2 billion) and theatrical producer Cameron Macintosh ($1.25 billion). Mick Jagger placed 10th with $304 million. Zombies co-founders Rod Argent, Colin Blunstone, Hugh Grundy and Chris White will be on hand for today's dedication of a plaque honoring the band's founding (in 1961) in Saint Albans, England. So will Jim and Steve Rodford, who've played with Argent and Blunstone since the band was re-formed. The blue plaque will be placed outside the pub The Blacksmith's Arms. Blondie drummer Clem Burke was inducted into the Bayonne (New Jersey) High School Hall of Fame on Tuesday. Last weekend, Burke and former Blondie guitarist Frank Infante made a rare appearance together at an L.A. tribute concert for the late New York Dolls guitarist Johnny Thunders. The Change Begins Within benefit, which took place at new York's Radio City Music Hall in 2009, airs on PBS this weekend. It features Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr performing together on three songs. |
