Tuesday has been set as the date that Bob Dylan will receive the Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, from President Obama at the White House. Also being honored are former astronaut and Senator John Glenn, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Nobel Prize-winning novelist Toni Morrison. Dylan turns 71 today.

Members of Levon Helm's band will pay tribute to him with a performance at Mountain Jam at Hunter Mountain in Hunter, New York during the first weekend of June. Helm, who died on April 19th, would have been 72 on Saturday.

Led Zeppelin II has died. George Blackburn, who legally changed his name after his favorite band last fall, was 64 when he passed of a heart attack on May 18th in Missouri.

Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx will throw out the first pitch at this Sunday's Los Angeles Dodgers - Houston Astros game at Dodger Stadium
