A ticket from The Beatles’ final Cavern Club performance will be auctioned in August. Saved from their August 3rd, 1963 sell-out show at the Liverpool venue, it lists the Beatles in bold print at the top, above the name of the club. The rest of the night's bill were The Mersey Beats, The Road Runners, Johnny Ringo and the Colts and The Escorts -- featuring future Hollies member Terry Sylvester.
Bruce Springsteen has posted a video on his website of his performance of “Twist and Shout” from his appearance last weekend at the Isle of Wight Festival.
David Bowie's son, director Duncan Jones, has gotten engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Rodene Ronquillo. And like his stepmother, supermodel Iman, Rodene is also very easy on the eyes. Duncan, born Zowie Bowie, is Bowie’s son from his first marriage to Angela Bowie.
Former Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord has canceled his July 6th show in Hagen, Germany due to his treatments for pancreatic cancer. However, a post on his website says this is not a matter for concern, but a continuation of his regular ongoing treatment, which has taken longer than anticipated. He hopes to reschedule the show.
