Good God no! Bassist Rudy Sarzo has quit Blue Oyster Cult to concentrate on his new band featuring Anthrax singer Dan Nelson and Twisted Sister drummer A.J. Pero. Sarzo also plays in the Ronnie James Dio tribute band Dio Disciples.

Alice Cooper drummer Glen Sobel has taken a leave of absence from Cooper’s tour due to a neck injury. Jonathan Mover, who has played with Joe Satriani, Fuel, GTR and others, will sit in. Cooper is opening for Iron Maiden with stops in Newark, New Jersey tonight (Monday) and Milwaukee on Wednesday.

The Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky” is being used in a commercial for Glidden paint.
