The Allman Brothers Band Museum at The Big House in Macon, Georgia, the band's former home, is hosting their first annual golf tournament to support the museum. Birdies for The Big House will be held September 10th at the nearby Brickyard at Riverside Course.

Journey's show Tuesday night in Lafayette, Louisiana has been canceled because of Hurricane Isaac. Lynyrd Skynyrd's show Sunday night in Tampa as part of the Republican National Convention festivities was also canceled because of the storm. Journey will perform at a RNC-related party on Thursday.

Rufus Taylor, the son of Queen drummer Roger Taylor, joined the Foo Fighters on Queen's "Tie Your Mother Down" the other night at England's Leeds Festival. Papa Taylor was on vacation.

Bruce Springsteen did the tour premiere of “Pay Me My Money Down” the other night in Moncton, Canada, and opening act Tom Cochrane joined "The Boss" on "Twist and Shout."

Elton John will headline the MAC Viva Glam Fashion Cares fundraising gala on September 9th at the Sony Centre For the Performing Arts in Toronto. Proceeds will benefit Canadian HIV/AIDS foundations and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
