Shannon Tweed-Simmons tweets from New York: "Haven't found a coat for Gene yet. Lots that look good. None that he'll like." She is trying to replace his 30-year-old leather jacket, which she hid from him. Ronnie Wood says the reason he recently underwent foot surgery was for an injury suffered 20 years ago after his then-wife Jo crashed their car returning from her father's funeral. As for the surgery, he says, "It was a cracked bone. I had to have pieces taken from my knee and my hip. It is all repaired now." Journey guitarist Neal Schon is offering a free download of "The Calling," the first single from his new album, on the band's website [JourneyMusic.com]. The song features original Journey drummer Steve Smith. The Elton John AIDS Foundation pledged over $8 million in new grants last year that will further its mission to assist the most marginalized populations vulnerable to HIV infection. Jeff Beck has canceled his appearances at Canadian Music Week, March 23rd in Toronto. He has rescheduled his appearance for next year. |
