If You Don't Give Blood, Who Will?

Good morning.

KSLX has teamed up with United Blood Services for the Independence Day blood drive today through July 8th. I'll be doing my Power Red donation today at the Chandler UBS and I'm asking you to please help out.

People in Arizona need blood 24/7 and the stocks are way down. You never know who you'll be helping but I guarantee: You will be helping someone.

Someone you love, someone you don't like very much at all but somebody will be helped by your donation.

You might even be helping one of our soldiers bacjk from Afghanistan-and ain't that the least you can do for them?

I donate every chance I get because I found out that my O+/CMV negative blood can be used to make different blood products that can be used to help premature babies, burn victims, cancer patients, people with AIDS etc.

Anyone with a diminished immune system.

Actually, they had me when they said I could help babies.

The main reason people cite for not donating blood is this: "...Nobody asked me."

Well, I'm asking you.

Please donate blood today and whenever you can.
