BEATLES: Asking Fans to Share Concert Video, Stills or Audio
The Beatles have embarked on what could be their most interactive project ever. Apple Corps has signed a deal with a production company to collect film, audio and still photos from the Beatles live shows. All told, there were 250 concerts in 116 cities from October 1963 through August 28th, 1966.
OVOW -- an acronym for One Voice, Our World -- is also planning to interview fans who attended Beatles shows, with the assistance of fan clubs, writers, academics, collectors and film-restoration experts. And you can upload your vintage video at The Beatles Live Project.
PerhapsTthe Beatles were inspired by the success of the newly released Elvis Presley DVD set Prince From Another Planet, which is built around the high quality amateur film of the King's 1972 shows at New York's Madison Square Garden.
