The magical night when The Rolling Stones jammed with Muddy Waters is out tomorrow (Tuesday) in both DVD and DVD/CD sets. Captured on videotape and now digitally preserved, the union of the blues-loving rockers and the Chicago musical icon they've often cited as their inspiration took place in the Windy City's Checkerboard Club on November 22nd, 1981. Told that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood were in the audience, Muddy invited them to join him. The result was a master class -- with the mentor and his students giving spirited versions of "Baby Please Don't Go," "Hoochie Koochie Man" and "Mannish Boy." They were later joined by Buddy Guy on "Got My Mojo Workin'" in a remarkable one-time-only show.
