PAUL McCARTNEY: Back in the Studio

Paul McCartney's album of standards, Kisses on the Bottom, hits stores tomorrow, but he's already working on his next release. Macca spent the last weekend of January in London's A.I.R. Studios on Saturday and Abbey Road on Sunday. We caught up with him at A.I.R., where he told us, "I've written a lot of songs over the last couple of years, and you get to a point where you've just got too many to leave. You got to record them in order to be able to even write some more." Though he hopes to have the album out by the end of the year, we'll most likely see it in 2013. McCartney's last rock album was 2007's Memory Almost Full.

McCartney is in Los Angeles this week to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, to be honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year on Friday and to perform on the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
