Lambert Not Up To It?

PAUL RODGERS: Queen Could Bite the Dust with Lambert

Paul Rodgers is not so sure Adam Lambert has what it takes to front Queen.

"It's probably a dream come true for Adam," says Rodgers, "but I wonder if he has the groundwork to see him through a big tour with those guys." Right now, Queen and Lambert only have three shows scheduled -- one in Moscow and two in London, all in July.

Rodgers knows a thing or two about singing with Queen as he filled the role once occupied by the late Freddie Mercury for five years -- 2004 to 2009. "We parted the best of friends and I wish them every success. We'll do a couple of gigs in the future. That's where we left it. Being in a band is all consuming and I like to have a life. After leaving Queen I decided to stop doing those mega-four-month tours. I go out for a month and my dog recognizes me when I come home."

Rodgers has a few solo shows planned for this year as well as a European tour with Bad Company.
