U2: The Spidey Suit Goes On
The lawsuits over Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark just won't go away.
The producers of the musical with songs by U2's Bono and The Edge are going back to court with the show's former director, Julie Taymor, after a settlement reached last summer fell apart. Federal judge Katherine Forrest set a May 27th trial date in New York after Taymor's lawyer asked that the case move forward because the settlement was never finalized.
Taymor filed suit in November 2011, saying her copyrighted written works were violated when she was fired and the musical’s script was re-written.
