JOHN LENNON: His Former British Mansion Is for Sale

A mansion John and Cynthia Lennon called home during the mid-1960s is up for sale -- it's listed at $23.5 million. Known as Kenwood, the Weybridge, England house is set on an acre and a half of land, and contains a study and attic, where John was said to have installed most of his musical equipment at the time.

The British music paper NME says the house proved to be a good investment for Lennon. He bought it in July 1964 for $56,000 -- and doubled his money when he sold it to songwriter Bill Martin four years later. It's changed hands a few more times since.
