Elton John is suing the Times of London for libel for falsely linking him to a tax-evasion scam.
The Times published two articles about "the secrets of tax avoiders" that implied that Elton's former account advised him on a way not to pay taxes. The only problems -- Ingenious Media CEO Patrick McKenna wasn't involved in such scams and he wasn't Elton's accountant. The Times ran a few corrections, but Elton's lawyer called them "wholly inadequate."
