PAUL McCARTNEY: V for Victor
Paul McCartney attended a memorial service for the actor Victor Spinetti on Tuesday morning in London, then watched himself and Spinetti on screen at a special showing of Magical Mystery Tour that evening. The film, which is being released on DVD next Tuesday, was the third and final Beatles movie to feature Spinetti, who died in June. He also appeared in A Hard Day's Night and Help!
Macca was joined by '60s fashion icon Twiggy at the memorial service, while Peter Asher, Pattie Boyd, rockers Liam Gallagher and Paul Weller and Monty Python member Terry Jones attended the screening. McCartney sat next to music producer Giles Martin -- son of Beatles producer George Martin -- who tweeted that the newly restored film "sounded fantastic."
