PAUL McCARTNEY: Not That There's Anything Wrong With It |
|
If Paul McCartney had his way, this week's re-release of Ram would have been available in just a burlap bag. He says he was inspired to do it that way after remembering a visit he received at his farm in Scotland during the early '70s. It was from the Queen of Norman, an "overtly gay" man from Norman, Oklahoma, who gave Macca a copy of blues guitarist Roy Buchanan's album, Butch & the Snake Stretchers, in a burlap bag. McCartney says while his idea to re-release Ram the same way was rejected, he tells us he told his team that that was "the spirit that we'd like to try and get. So it is a little bit more down home. A little bit more funky." Ram is available in a deluxe version, as a single CD, a two-CD set, vinyl in both stereo and mono, and digitally. |
