Meat Loaf endorses Mitt Romney for president.

Meat Loaf is tossing his weight behind Mitt Romney in the presidential election. At a rally Thursday night in the swing state of Ohio, Meat said, "I want you to know that there is one man who will stand tall in this country and fight the storm and bring the United States back to what it should be -- Governor Mitt Romney!”

He added that this was his first-ever endorsement of a candidate because "in 2012 this is the most important election in the history of the United States.” Meat is not the only classic rock act in Romney's corner. Ted Nugent is also a big supporter, and Aerosmith's Joe Perry is a staunch Republican.
