JOHN MELLENCAMP: Third Times a Charm |

| Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, the musical that John Mellencamp and Stephen King have worked on sporadically over the past decade, will have its official stage debut Friday at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta. Mellencamp hopes that this third attempt to get the musical going is his last. He tells Encore Atlanta, "We had done it [a workshop] in New York, and it just didn't work. It was too 'Broadway Rhythm,' but that's not what this show is... I think that we needed to re-design it from the ground up. I don't need to hear my songs sung that way, and it was imperative that none of these people did that." |
