Freddie Mercury has been spotted roaming the streets of London today (Tuesday). He has come back in the form of a life-size lion sculpture that is touring the city. The piece was erected by the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the HIV/AIDS charity established after Mercury's 1991 death, and the Born Free Foundation.
The Freddie Lion has painted on it one Mercury's stage outfits -- the short yellow jacket and white pants with red stripes on the side. Among the stops Freddie Lion is scheduled to make today are Trafalgar Square, the South African Embassy, the Embankment by the Olympic Rings and Wembley Stadium.
