Drummer Graeme Edge, the only remaining original member of The Moody Blues, has published a book of poems called The Written Works of Graeme Edge. It's available now, and, in addition to poetic verses, it contains lyrics from many of the band's albums, along with recollections and never-before-told stories of their recordings.
Edge is responsible for the poem "Morning Glory" in the Moodys' song "The Day Begins" from their Days of Future Passed album. The opening lines from "Morning Glory" are then repeated at the end of "Late Lament," the poem at the end of "Nights in White Satin": "Cold hearted orb that rules the night, removes the colors from our sight. Red is grey, and yellow, white, but we decide which is right, and which is an illusion."
Edge and the Moody Blues start their fall tour on November 23rd in Easton, Pennsylvania
