RONNIE WOOD: Ex-Wife Unloading His Things
Jo Wood is auctioning off some of her ex-husband's belongings.
Jo Wood, the scorned ex-wife of Rolling Stones and Faces guitarist Ronnie Wood, apparently wants to rid herself of as many memories of him as she can. On October 27th, she will be auctioning off a number of items that once belonged to Wood, including leather jackets and clothing worn on stage, a handwritten note from Mick Jagger to Woody, two Ronnie Wood custom painted Fender Stratocasters, one with the body depicting a Stones recording session that is expected to sell for between $4,000 and $8,000, backstage passes, guitar picks, books, some of his paintings, albums and more.
From her side of the house is an array of fine and decorative art, antiques, music memorabilia and personal property. The sale is being handled by Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit MusiCares, a non-profit organization of The Recording Academy that provides emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to music people in need.
In February, Jo Wood will publish her memoirs.
