A show The Rolling Stones played in Chicago with the late blues legend Muddy Waters is being issued as a DVD-plus-CD package on July 10th. Muddy Waters and The Rolling Stones: Checkerboard Lounge Live 1981 documents what happened when four of the Stones decided to see Waters perform at his Chicago nightclub during their U.S. tour that year.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Ian Stewart ended up joining Muddy onstage and doing a full set of classic blues, with additional help from Buddy Guy and Junior Wells.
