John Waite rips Journey

If Journey ever want to replace singer Arnel Pineda, they certainly should not ask John Waite. Waite, who was in Bad English with Journey's Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain and Deen Castronovo, tells MetalSludge.com that Journey is "garbage. I hate to say it, but I listen to Journey and think, ‘That is just wrong.’ That’s why there will never be a Bad English reunion. It’s for super-white people listening to super-white music. [Screw] that -- I’d rather shoot myself... That sort of arena rock thing leaves me cold, even though Neal is a tremendous player at that kind of music.”

Waite is on a U.S. tour with shows through October. Journey is also on the road, sharing a bill with Pat Benatar and Loverboy.
