WHO: Late Manager Rates His Own Movie
The Who's late manager and producer Kit Lambert will be the subject of a feature film. This, according to The Hollywood Reporter, who write that the movie will mark the directorial debut of actor Cary Elwes.
The film's producer, Orian Williams, was behind Control, which was based on the life of Joy Division's Ian Curtis, and is also involved in an upcoming Jeff Buckley bio-pic. He calls Lambert's life "a riches to rags story."
The son of a classical composer, Lambert co-managed The Who with Chris Stamp, who passed away in November. Lambert died in 1981, after falling down a flight of stairs. He was 45.
