THE BEATLES: Marking 50 Years With a New Box Set
The Beatles will mark the 50th anniversary of their first visit to America, February 7th, 1964, by releasing a box set containing all the albums they released in the U.S. between 1964 and 1970. The U.S. Albums is a 13-CD set that starts with 1964’s Meet The Beatles and ends with 1970’s Hey Jude. It will be out on January 21st.
Each album comes in mono and stereo, with the exception of The Beatles’ Story and Hey Jude, which are in stereo only. All the artwork has been faithfully replicated from the original LPs, including the inner sleeves, and the box contains a 64-page booklet with photos and promotional art from the time, as well as a new essay on the band. And for a limited time, all of the albums, except for The Beatles’ Story, will also be available for individual CD purchase. A Hard Day’s Night (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), The Beatles’ Story, Yesterday and Today, Hey Jude and the U.S. version of Revolver make their CD debuts with these releases.
