ELTON: New Album Done

Elton John has teamed up again with producer T-Bone Burnett, who manned the boards for John's Leon Russell collaboration The Union. On his next studio album, The Diving Board, Elton dials back to the piano-bass-drums format he used on his breakthrough live album, 11-17-70.

Sir Elton tells Rolling Stone, "It was T-Bone's idea to get back with piano, bass and drums. He said, 'Let's start with that.'" John ended up writing 12 songs over two days and recorded the entire album in just four days. "It just came flooding out. Quickest record I've ever made."
