Paul McCartney chooses to record new album with Mark Ronson.

Earlier this year we were the first to tell you that Paul McCartney has been working on his 16th studio album. Well now we know who is going to produce it. He has chosen Mark Ronson, who, in addition to being the DJ at Macca's London wedding reception last October, also produced albums by Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lily Allen, Duran Duran, Christina Aguilera, Kaiser Chiefs and others.

While this is the first time Macca is working with Ronson, he knows him since he was a kid. Ronson says it was McCartney who rescued him from drowning when he was a kid on a beach in the Hamptons section of Long Island, New York, where Macca has a home and where Ronson lived with his mother and stepfather, Mick Jones of Foreigner.
