BOB DYLAN: New Album, New Medal |
|
It looks like a new Bob Dylan album is on the way in September. The Dylan fanzine Isis claims that executives have already heard the project, which clocks in at 68 minutes long and features a 14-minute song about the Titanic. In March, Los Lobos singer-guitarist David Hidalgo revealed that he'd played on the sessions for the album, adding traditional Mexican instruments to many of the songs. Hildalgo played on Dylan's last two studio albums, Together Through Life and Christmas From the Heart. Dylan was in Washington, D.C, yesterday to receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, from President Obama. The President said that hearing Dylan in college opened up his mind and said he was "a really big fan." |
