R.E.M.: Buck's New Project

Ex-R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck is working on his first project since the band split up last fall. It's not known yet if it's a Buck solo album or will be released under a band name. Ex-R.E.M. touring member Scott McCaughey [pr: mick-COY] posted an update about the sessions on Facebook, revealing that ex-R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills, ex-R.E.M. touring drummer Bill Rieflin and Patti Smith Group guitarist Lenny Kaye are in Buck's band and are currently recording in Portland.
