Bob Dylan will hit the road in April with the L.A. band Dawes as his opening act.

The 13-date trek will include nine college shows, plus a theater, two arenas and one stadium gig. Dawes's third album, Stories Don't End, will be released on April 9th, a day they'll be playing the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with Dylan.

Dylan's 2013 dates will mark the 25th anniversary of when he began what was called, maybe jokingly, his Never Ending Tour. Dawes were the backing band for onetime Dylan guitarist Robbie Robertson when he did a few promotional dates in 2011.
