The latest episode of The Roth Show has Diamond David Lee Roth waxing poetically about tattoos and living in Japan. He says part of the reason why he moved to Tokyo was to have a genuine Japanese tattoo artist ink him a dragon, which takes up all of Roth's back. He says so far there are more than 100 hours invested in the tat. Another reason for his move has to do with his love of martial arts, of which he is a student. Roth also maintains a home in Pasadena, California and an apartment in New York City.

The first single off of Van Halen's last album, A Different Kind of Truth, was "Tattoo."

Van Halen has three shows scheduled for Japan in June.
