KISS's Gene Simmons isn't happy about all those "Endorses Romney" headlines that popped up after he appeared on Fox and Friends last week and said he preferred Mitt Romney's economic background. He's posted a lengthy note on GeneSimmons.comabout it. The highlights include:
- "I have not endorsed either Governor Romney or President Obama. It's no secret who and what I am and what I believe in. I am socially liberal. And I am a fiscal and foreign policy conservative. Translation: I am an American. That's my political party. I find both parties lacking in all sorts of areas. And many Americans agree."
- "The next election is coming up, and for some reason, both the left and right of the political spectrum are curious who I will vote for. I have no idea why anyone would be interested in who I would vote for...or for that matter who anyone else would vote for. I have not made up my mind."
- "I want to hear what both Governor Romney and President Obama have to say. And then I will pull the lever as my conscience dictates. In the voting booth. Privately. As an American."
KISS will be on Dancing With the Stars tonight performing "Rock and Roll All Nite," and also take the stage on Tuesday to perform "Lick it Up."
