Mark David Chapman, who is serving 20 years to life for the murder of John Lennon, has been denied parole for a seventh time. Chapman, who is now 57, went before a three-member parole board yesterday (Wednesday). Today (Thursday), they announced the decision not to set him free.

Chapman shot Lennon on the night of December 8th, 1980 in New York City as he returned home from a recording session.

Chapman will be up for parole again in two years.
