Press Conference

AEROSMITH: Mum's the Word...Literally

Aerosmith held a press conference yesterday at The Grove, an outdoor mall in L.A., to announce their Global Warming tour, the dates for which they announced on Monday. Steven Tyler had promised "quite an entrance," and each of the four members (Brad Whitford is still on the Experience Hendrix tour and couldn't attend) arrived in a different vehicle -- bassist Tom Hamilton pulled in a rickshaw, Steven Tyler driving a green three-wheeler motocycle, Joey Kramer in his white Lamborghini Aventador and Joe Perry in a yellow taxicab. Jimmy Kimmel then introduced them as they hit the stage.

The only real news is that they have two more songs to go to finish their new album and that three of the song titles are "Legendary Child," "Beautiful" and "Out Go the Lights." Tyler says it will take a month-and-a-half to two months to mix, which means we may see it released by July. Hamilton says they'll release two singles before the album.

As for an album title, Joe Perry tells us they have a pact not to divulge that information, but Tyler adds that the album is "gonna be stupid good." This is their first studio album of original material since Just Push Play in 2001.

Aerosmith weren't the only rockers at The Grove yesterday. Paul Stanley of KISS was there with his family to see the Easter Bunny and do some shopping when he stumbled upon preparations for the press conference.
