RASCALS: More on Reunion Shows
The Rascals reunion shows in December were scripted by Steve Van Zandt.
It was E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt who inducted The Rascals into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and then brought them together in 2010 for a benefit performance. And, as reported earlier this week, he is producing their run of three shows in December at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York.
And while the multimedia show will be tell the band's story, that story was written by Van Zandt. "It's called Once Upon a Dream," says Van Zandt. "The show will be an uplifting inspiration for you fans that have been waiting all these years, praying for a Rascals comeback, and those of you who are younger will get a real taste of the '60's you missed the first time around... It's the only way to introduce this amazing group to a new generation. The original four."
The shows, their first public performances in more than 40 years, will be December 13th, 14th and 15th.
