THIN LIZZY: Fillin' Up Without Phil
The surviving members of Thin Lizzy have done pretty well touring without their late singer-founder Phil Lynott, but now they're pushing the envelope -- by recording their first album without Lynott, who died of drug-related causes in 1986.

Guitarist Scott Gorham, who played alongside Lynott in Lizzy, tells Ireland's Hot Press that the band is heading to Los Angeles to work on the album. He says, “You have got six guys there that are chomping at the bit that can’t wait to get this thing going.” They'll preview some of the new material at a show in Dublin on December 13th.
Besides Gorham, this version of Thin Lizzy includes drummer Brian Downey, who co-founded the band.
