BOOKER T: Playing at '60s Artist's Retrospective
Booker T. Jones of Booker T. & the MG's will perform Friday at the opening of the first career retrospective gallery show of '60s counterculture artist Marijke [pr: mah-RAY-kuh] Koger-Dunham at Sonos Space in L.A. Koger-Dunham was a member of the Dutch design collective known as The Fool, which created album artwork for The Beatles, The Incredible String Band, The Move and The Hollies and the mural on the Apple Records Boutique in London. She also created clothing for The Beatles and Cream, painted designs on John Lennon's piano and Eric Clapton's and George Harrison's guitars.
The Fool also recorded a Graham Nash-produced album in the '60s and two others in the '70s under the name Seemon & Marijke -- the first produced by Nash and Booker T., the second just by Booker T.
