Reunion On Hold.

BLACK SABBATH: Reunion Partially on Hold

Black Sabbath have put their reunion tour on hold as guitarist Tony Iommi continues treatment for lymphoma. Instead of touring Europe this summer, they'll play one show, the Download Festival in Derby, England on June 10th, and the rest of the shows are now being billed as Ozzy and Friends. Among those friends are Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, who'll sit in on a set of Sabbath songs; Ozzy's former guitarist Zakk Wylde; and Slash, who'll join in on select shows.

Just as this announcement came down from the band on Friday, drummer Bill Ward posted an update on his contract dispute with his bandmates. He says, "Last week we sent further communication to the attorney handling the negotiations to try to reach an agreement... I remain hopeful for a 'signable' contract and a positive outcome. I want to thank everyone who has voiced and posted their opinions, thoughts, support and love through all media... Keep in mind that Tony, Ozzy and Geezer are still my lifetime friends, and I cannot support comments with an objectifying or derogatory theme toward them or their various representatives."

Ozzy was home in L.A. last week, where on Valentine's Day, he had a sexy date with his wife Sharon. She says he took her to their favorite hotel and plied her with pink champagne, and then they played "waitress and customer" and topped off the night with a banana split.
