PETER FRAMPTON: Les Paul Comes Alive...Again |
|
Saturday night will be a very special one for Peter Frampton. It will be the first time he'll play his black 1954 Gibson Les Paul since 1980 when he takes the stage at New York's Beacon Theatre. Featured on the cover of his Frampton Comes Alive album, the guitar was believed to have been lost forever when the cargo plane that was carrying it to a show in Panama crashed on the Caribbean island of Curacao in 1980. But it was discovered last year, although nobody seems to know where, and has been completely refurbished at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville. Tomorrow night's show, part of his Frampton Comes Alive 35th anniversary tour, will be filmed for a DVD. |
