RINGO: New Single is Old Song

The first single from Ringo Starr's upcoming album Ringo 2012 dates back to 35 years ago. "Wings," which is available on iTunes now, was a track Starr recorded in 1977 for his Ringo the 4th album. Starr says that "Wings" is "one of those songs I always wanted to revisit" and that "I always loved the sentiment of this song, and I'm glad we finally got it right."

The track includes a guest appearance by Starr's brother-in-law, Joe Walsh. Ringo 2012 is due out January 31st.
