THE WHO: Back to Work
The Who to take their Quadrophenia tour to Europe.
The Who start the 2013 leg of their Quadrophenia tour tonight (Monday), Monday, in Anaheim, California, and they have just announced that following North America, the tour will head to Europe starting June 8th in Dublin.
Pete Townshend spent part of the break in between legs of the tour in Antigua where the avid sailor presented six new Laser Pico sailing dinghies to representatives of Antigua’s National Sailing Academy, which has an active mission to teach Antiguan school children to swim and sail as part of the schools’ curriculum at no cost to the children. There is also talk of a charity concert, yet to be confirmed, to be held in Antigua sometime early next year in support of the National Sailing Academy. Townshend's good friend Eric Clapton has a home on Antigua, as well as it being home to his Crossroads rehab center. Clapton also docks his yacht in Antigua.
