TOTO: Sues Over Digital Royalties

Toto is the latest group to sue over royalties from digital downloads. The "Hold the Line" hit-makers claim that Sony should have treated revenue from iTunes sales as if it was for any "third-party" licensing arrangement. The bottom line: the band says they received a far lower royalty rate from digital sales than to what they were entitled. They're asking for $605,000 in damages plus interest.

Recently fellow rock veterans Peter Frampton and The Knack sued their respective labels (Universal and Capitol) over the same issue.
